Site specific video installation commissioned by the Performance Corporation for the Big House Festival in Castletown House.
We are all just passing through. A never ending stream of ghostly figures pass through a door: Exit explores the memory of a house like Castletown (built in 1722) and the people who have visited it through its 300 years. In my work projections often act as memories or traces of past events. They co-exist with the present in an uneasy way. But in this case the projection is also a nod to the future and the ultimate un-known that is death.
